Description

Nos. 44 and 46 on High Street are a range of houses that have been converted into two shops. They date from the late 17th century and are constructed from rendered brick with a pantiled roof, likely originally timber framed. The ground floor features 20th-century shop fronts. The first floor of No. 44 has one late 18th-century sash window with glazing bars, while No. 46 has three mid-19th-century sash windows, also with glazing bars and shutters. The eaves of the range are adorned with a coved cornice. The building has a gabled roof with a ridge stack at the division between the two properties, and the west gable wall is topped with a parapet on kneelers.
