Description

Harvey House is a mid-18th century town house, with later additions. It is constructed of brick with a pantiled roof. The building is three storeys high and has seven bays. A pedimented doorcase, featuring dentils and supported by Tuscan Order columns, provides entry. All floors contain sash windows with glazing bars, set under finely gauged skewback arches. Prominently painted keystones and sills accentuate the windows. The sash windows on the third floor are smaller than those below. A console eaves cornice runs around the building. The roof is hipped, with a stack located to the right of the centre.

An early 19th century addition extends to the east, comprising one storey and a dormer attic. This section has a gabled, pantiled roof. A round arched doorway is on the left, and a 20th century window is on the right. Two gabled dormers contain sash windows with retained glazing bars. A rear extension, also from the early 19th century, features a bow-fronted design to the west, extending through two storeys. The sash windows here copy the detailing of the main facade.
