Description
Wayland Hall is a civic hall built in 1853 by E. B. Lamb. It is constructed of red brick with gault brick dressings and has a corrugated tile roof. The building has two storeys and features a narrow facade. On the ground floor, there is a 3-light cross casement window under a flat head, flanked by single-light windows, with a relieving arch over the central window. The first floor has similar windows, with 2-light central casements. A circular roof light is also present. The interior is somewhat plain but includes a hammerbeam roof in the main hall made of light scantling. Wayland Hall occupies an important visual position.
