Description
No. 8, known as The Manor House, is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of brick with a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in three bays. The centre bay projects forward and features a Doric Order doorcase with a pediment. There is one sash window on either side of the door, each with glazing bars and set under gauged skew-back arches. A brick string course runs along the first floor level. The first floor has three narrower sash windows, similar to those below. A timber cornice with a central pediment is located over the middle bay, which is gabled back to the main roof slope. The roof itself is gabled, with an internal stack on the south gable and coped gables on kneelers. The garden is enclosed by a brick wall that has a set-off running north and returns to follow Dereham Road.
