Description
Row Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse located on Yarmouth Road in Kirby Cane. The building is constructed of red brick, which is partly colourwashed, and features a steeply pitched pantile roof with black glazed tiles on the front elevation. It has two storeys and an L-shaped lobby entrance plan.
The south facade includes a range of three windows, which are 3-light casements from the 20th century set in original openings. The ground floor openings have segmental heads. There is an off-centre panelled entrance door, with the top two panels glazed, located to the east. This door is framed by a reeded surround with corner paterae. A platband runs at first floor level, and there is a sawtooth brick eaves course. The east and west gables are shaped and feature moulded eaves corbels. An axial stack is positioned off-centre to the east. The rear wing has 20th-century casements, and there is a catslide extension on the west side. The north gable is parapeted and also has 20th-century fenestration.
