Description

Popples Cottage is a mid 19th century cottage constructed from coursed limestone rubble with red brick dressings and a slate roof featuring overhanging eaves and two gable brick stacks. The building is two storeys high with a three-bay front and a single-storey, single-bay wing on the left side. The central entrance consists of a six flush panelled door, which is flanked by single glazing bar sliding sash windows. There is another similar window in the single-storey wing and two additional windows on the first floor. Above the door, there is a fire insurance plaque. The cottage is listed for its group value only.
