Description
No. 6 Welch Gate is a house that has been converted into a shop and flat. It was built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a tile roof with gable end stacks. It stands three storeys tall and has a dentilled brick tie. The second floor has two windows with 20th-century aluminium top-hung casements set under timber lintels, while the first floor windows are under segmental heads with stone sills. On the ground floor, there are fluted wooden pilasters supporting a dentilled cornice on brackets, a plate glass shop front to the right, and an entrance to the left that features a glazed door. The building is included for its group value.
