Description
The Winnall Memorial is a chest tomb located about 11 yards south-west of the Sandys Mausoleum. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb features a moulded plinth and flat capping, which supports a rectangular plinth and a moulded base for an oval, draped urn with gadrooned capping that is now lying on its side. The moulded inscription panels are decorated with circular husked wreaths. This memorial commemorates John Edward Prattenton Winnall, who died in 183?.
