Description

The Shaw Memorial, located immediately east of the Sandys Mausoleum, is a chest tomb dating from around 1832. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and is inspired by Greek Revival architecture. The memorial features a moulded plinth, tapered sides, and a slightly ridged heavy capping, all with rebated corners. It commemorates Thomas Shaw, who died in 1832.
