Description

Shaw Monument is located approximately 20 meters south of St Michael's Church and dates from 1780. It is made of ashlar stone and features a head with a broken segmental pediment, adorned with paterae and floral drops at the ends, as well as an urn. The sides also display paterae and floral drops. The inscription on the monument commemorates William Shaw, who died in 1780, his wife Hannah, who died in 1787, and their son William, who died in 1774.
