Description

The Nook is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone with ashlar dressings and has a concrete tile roof. The west elevation features two storeys and three bays, with two sill bands, a top frieze, and a cornice, along with quoins. The windows have plain surrounds and 20th-century casements. The central entrance is designed with a composite aedicule that includes an architrave, flat pilasters, and a broken pediment topped with an urn; it has a 20th-century plank door. There is a gable-end stack. The north return includes a small two-storey wing with casements, while the rear of the building is plain.
