Description

The Shaw Memorial, located approximately 8 metres west of the tower of the Church of St Peter and St Felix, is a tombstone dating from around 1733. It is made of ashlar sandstone and features a slab with a double-scrolled top. The stone is divided into two panels by a moulding, each topped with an ogee head. Above the panels are two angel's heads with rays of sunlight above them. The left panel commemorates Mary Shaw, who died in 1733, while the right panel remains blank. The back of the stone has a pecked finish.
