Description
This is a pair of houses, dated 1678, and later altered. They are constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof. The houses are two storeys high and have three windows on the first floor. Quoins are visible on the right-hand side. On the ground floor, between the first and second windows, is a glazed door within an ashlar surround with moulded arrises and a hoodmould. The lintel features recessed panels with raised "E" and "MH" characters, along with the date 1678. A further part-glazed door is located between the second and third windows, also within an ashlar quoined surround with draughted margins. To the left of the building, on both floors, are 20th-century three-light casement windows with concrete lintels. In the centre of the building and to the right, on each floor, are two-light double-chamfered mullion windows with hoodmoulds. The ground-floor window to the right has lattice glazing. Decorative shaped kneelers and an ashlar coping are present. The building has end stacks, with the left-hand stack being external.
