Description
Manor Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage located on the south side of the village green in Kirby Hill. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys featuring two first-floor windows. The right side of the cottage has quoins. On the left, there is a 20th-century part-glazed door set within an ashlar architrave that includes bases and a tripartite keystone. To the right, there are two 20th-century four-pane sash windows on each floor, each with ashlar lintels and projecting sills. The right side features a shaped kneeler and ashlar coping, along with an end stack. There is a blocked loft window on the right return. A single-storey garage is situated to the right, along with a flat-roofed rear extension, which is not of special interest. The cottage is included for its group value.
