Description
Rose Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on the south side of Swithland Main Street. It is constructed from slate and granite rubble stone, with a red brick gable on the right side, topped by a Swithland slate roof and featuring red brick end stacks. The cottage has two storeys, with two sets of three-light casement windows that have brick cambered lintels. There is a 20th-century central door that is sheltered by a slated hood. To the left, there is an outshut with a door and a two-light casement window above it. On the right side, there is a one-storey extension that includes a four-light casement window, and further to the right, there is a lower extension with garage doors.
