Description
No. 146 on Main Street is a cottage built in 1845. It is constructed from granite and slate rubble stone, featuring a plinth and blue brick dressings, topped with a Swithland slate roof that has blue brick end stacks. The cottage has a central gabled porch with a Tudor arch. The gables are shouldered and coped with blue brick. The building has two storeys, each with two 2-light diamond-paned casements that have cambered lintels and Tudor hood moulds. There are symmetrical one-storey wings at either end, each with similar gables. The left wing has a 3-light casement, while the right wing features a ridge louvre. A tablet above the door displays the initials G.J.D.B.D. and the year 1845.
