Description

The Ombersley War Memorial, built in 1946, commemorates those who served in the First and Second World Wars. Constructed from sandstone, the memorial has an octagonal shape. It is located in a small paved area next to the churchyard of St Andrew's Church. The memorial features a tall stone cross with chamfered edges, which rests on a large plinth that is set on a two-stepped base.

The plinth is inscribed with the following words: "IN MEMORY OF/ THE MEN OF/ OMBERSLEY/ WHO FELL IN THE/ TWO GREAT WARS/ 1914 - 1918/ AND/ 1939 - 1945/ THEIR NAME LIVETH/ FOR EVERMORE/ 1939 - 1945 (NAMES)/ 1914 - 1918 (NAMES)".
