Description

Tresco and The Grafters is a row of three cottages built in the mid-19th century, with later 20th-century additions. The cottages are constructed of brick, featuring a planted timber frame incorporated into the front elevation. They have plain tiled roofs and brick stacks arranged in groups of four and two, with oversailing cap courses. The cottages are single-storied with an attic, lit by half-dormers.

The front elevation is divided into three bays with a slight central break. Each outer bay has a gabled end with scalloped bargeboards; the central bay has pierced and scalloped bargeboards. The outer bays have ground-floor two-light casement windows and half-dormers containing two-light casements. The central bay also has a half-dormer with a two-light casement, and a central entrance flanked by rectangular windows. The entrance has a gabled timber-framed porch with balustrades and a plank and battened door. All windows have plank weatherings. Each side elevation has a gabled, timber-framed, balustraded porch. The interior was not inspected. The cottages are included on the list for their group value.
