Description
Redmarley House is a house built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled roof, with kneeler brackets at the gable verges and integral end brick stacks that have drip moulds. The building has two storeys and an attic with gabled dormers. It is three bays wide, with the central bay projecting slightly and containing the main entrance, which showcases Tudor Gothic detailing.
The front elevation includes windows and a door that have hoodmoulds with returns. The windows are glazing bar sashes, and large gables above each bay have a two-course band set above and corbelled out from the main eaves level. Each gable features a round-lobed quatrefoil light, and the entrance door is part-glazed. Although the interior has not been inspected, there is a Norwich Union fire insurance mark above the first floor window of the entrance bay. The house shares a similar design and is contemporary with Kelso and The Storks.
