2/102 William Mathews memorial approximately 15 m south- east of south porch of Church of St Deinst

GV II

Chest tomb. Late C18 or early C19. Ashlar. Moulded plinth now partly sub- merged, elegant moulded, slightly hipped capping with gadrooned edging, rectangular inscription panel with shaped egg and dart inner surround, and floral motifs in corners, flanked by balusters with gadrooned capping. Commemorates William Mathews, died 1780.
