Description

The Silvanus Taner memorial is a chest tomb located against the east end of the chancel of the Church of St Deinst in Llangarron. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of ashlar stone. The tomb features moulded capping and a submerged plinth, with lyre-shaped, scrolled end panels that flank fielded inscription panels on the long sides. This memorial commemorates Silvanus Tanner, who died in 1772.
