Description

This is a house dating to around 1800, with a rear wing from the 17th century. It is constructed of squared sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings, topped by a hipped slate roof. The rear wing is timber-framed with a rendered rubble plinth and gable, also covered by a slate roof. The main house is a single depth, with a central entrance and end stacks, forming a T-shaped layout when combined with the rear wing. It has two storeys and a basement, featuring three glazing bar sash windows. The upper floor windows are smaller than those on the ground floor, and pronounced keystones feature above the flat arches. The central entrance has a partly-glazed six-panelled door and an overlight with a vertical glazing bar design. The rear wing is single-storey with an attic, and has been altered in the 20th century with enlarged window openings. The rear wing also has square panelled framing, with three panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate.
