Description
The cart shed and granary located west of Langstone Court is a building from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with an altered roof. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with a timber-framed upper storey and features a slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan with four bays and an open-fronted lower storey supported by Tuscan piers. The west gable is made of rubble and includes steps leading up to the first floor, which has a chamfered square-headed doorway. The roof structure, which appears to be from the late 18th century, features a dropped tie construction at the front, while the roof structure continues to tie-beam level at the rear. An adjoining mid-19th century cow house is not included in this listing.
