2/132 Gates, gate piers and walls enclosing garden 18/5/53 east of Langstone Court

GV II*

Gates, gate piers and garden wall. Early C18. Wrought iron gates, over- throw and railings, low rubble wall flanking ashlar piers, remaining walls of English bond ramped up to piers. Gateway at eastern end. U-shaped garden enclosure completed by stables (qv) to north side. Inserted mid- C19 opening to west of south wall. Pair of plain gates with close-set rails and short dog-rails flanked by further decorative hinge panels with overthrow above, rusticated gate piers with moulded bases and capping with ball finials, flanked by low wall with spear-headed railings and standards of twisted pattern, moulded capping with urn finials at corners of wall.
