Description

The Wheeler Memorial, located about 9 yards south-east of the Sandys Mausoleum, is a chest tomb dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features a moulded plinth, side panels, and a flat capping. The corners are adorned with balusters, and there is a saltire cross carved on the frieze. This memorial commemorates Mary Wheeler, who died in 1771.
