HANLEY CASTLE CP A 440 (off)(east side) SO 84 SW 3/116 Northfield Farmhouse 25.3.68 - II

House. C17, altered mid-C19. Timber-framing with brick facade and tile roof. Two storeys, two bays. Windows are mid-C19 casements of three lights with segmental head. Door, between bays, has gabled open timber porch. Pro- jecting chimney stacks at gables, the left-hand one with diagonal shafts. The left-hand gable wall has some exposed framing with long straight braces. The truss has a tie-beam, collar and V-struts. At the rear are two parallel wings. The right-hand one has exposed framing in irregular square panels.
