Description

The Old Manor is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a combination of timber-framing and brick, topped with a tile roof. The building has one storey with an attic. The left side of the front wall has been replaced with brick and includes two ground floor windows with segmental heads, as well as a similar window above set within a gable. To the right, there is a second gable that is timber-framed and also has an attic window. A small three-light stair window with ovolo-moulded timber mullions is located further to the right. There is a doorway beneath the second gable, which is sheltered by a lean-to glazed porch. A 17th-century brick chimney stack projects from the left-hand gable. The right-hand gable truss features struts between the tie-beam and collar, and redundant mortices indicate that the house may have originally extended further to the right.
