Description
Thatchings is a 17th-century house located in Callow End, Powick. It features a combination of timber-framing and brick construction, topped with a thatched roof. The main part of the facade showcases timber-framing with painted brick infill arranged in irregular square panels. There are three windows on the ground floor. The thatch extends over a small dormer gable. To the left, there is a door beneath an open thatched porch. On the right side, there is a cross-wing that is cased in brick at the front, featuring windows on both floors and a doorway at the right, also under an open thatched porch. A chimney is positioned behind the ridge to the left of the cross-wing, and the right-hand return wall of the wing displays exposed framing.
