Description

Church House is an early 18th-century house, altered in the 20th century. It is timber-framed with brick infill, and has a tiled mansard roof. The house is two storeys high with an attic, and has three bays. The timber framing features straight tension braces extending from the rail at ground floor ceiling level to the main posts. The windows are metal casements, and there are two attic dormers. A door is located in the middle bay, and to the left and right are flank walls which conceal single-storey lean-tos, each with a doorway featuring a pointed head. Chimneys are situated on the ridge, near the centre of the roof and towards the right. It appears the building was originally intended to be clad, but the timber framing was exposed during the 20th century.
