Description

This is a house dating from around 1800. It is constructed of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, topped with a hipped slate roof. The building is three stories high and has three bays. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within gauged brick arches. The central bay features a six-panel door recessed within panelled reveals and approached by stone steps. Above the door is a fanlight with Gothic glazing. The doorcase itself includes pilasters with sunken panels and palm leaf capitals, an open pediment, and an interrupted frieze decorated with paterae. A lower-level doorway, also with a gauged brick head, is located on the left-hand side, opening into a passage. A chimney is visible on the rear wall towards the left. The building was formerly known as Park House.
