Shop and cafe. C17, refronted early C19 with further mid-C20 alterations. Timber-framed with brick infill, refronted in painted brick with brick replacement walling elsewhere. Plain tiled roof. Three framed bays aligned north-east/south-west. Two storeys. Framing: exposed at south-west end. One row of panels survives and a collar and tie-beam truss with two struts beneath the collar and a V-strut above. South-east front elevation: there are three first floor 3-light C20 casements. Shop front to No 6 occupies two bays and has a prominent entablature with a central pediment, heavily moulded panelled pilasters flanking plate glass windows and a central half- glazed door with a segmental fanlight within a moulded surround on corbels. The shop front to No 8 is smaller and more simply detailed with panelled pilasters flanking a 2-light window. To the right of this is a separate door- way with a heavily moulded surround and a square head with rounded corners; the door is half-glazed and has a transom light.
