Description
Nos. 153 and 155 on Corve Street in Ludlow are a shop and dwelling built in the late 18th century, with some alterations from the late 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a dentilled eaves cornice, a hipped roof made of Welsh slate, and a brick ridge stack. It stands three stories tall and has a two-window range of plain sashes that sit beneath gauged brick lintels, with a canted bay window on the first floor to the left. The late 19th-century shopfront includes wooden mullions, round-arched lights, and decorated spandrels. To the right, there is a glazed door with panelled reveals. The entrance to No. 153 features a wooden doorcase with a narrow hood supported by simple brackets, a six-panel door, and a decorative overlight. Rounded cart buffers are located on either side of the entrance. At the rear, there are 20th-century casements under gauged brick lintels.
