22 and 23, Bull Ring

22 and 23 Bull Ring is a house that has been converted into shops and dwellings, dating from the 18th century. The building is finished in stucco with a Welsh slate roof and features a brick ridge stack. It stands three storeys high and has a five-window range. On the left side, there are three 18th-century 6/6 sash windows in a slightly protruding bay, followed by two 3/6 sash windows, and four 3/6 sash windows above. To the right, there is one 4/4 sash window.

The left side has a late 19th-century shopfront with a central glazed door, moulded glazing bars, panelled pilasters, and a moulded hood supported by consoles. Beneath this hood is a glazed entrance door leading to a separate shop, which has a 20th-century light, and to the right, there is a curved 20th-century window. The extreme right side features a passage to the rear with spurstones and plank double doors.

The rear gable reveals the end of a rubble side wall to the right, with the remainder being roughcast. The end of the left side brick wall is set back from the roughcast gable, which appears to show traces of a timber member. The rear of No. 23 has a 20th-century brick wing under a plain tile roof, and the pitch of the rear roof seems shallower.
