Description

This is a stop lock located at the southeast end of the Shropshire Union Canal, built in 1835 for the Staffordshire and Worcester Canal Company. The lock features stone coping and single gates. It was constructed at the request of the Staffordshire and Worcester Canal Company to prevent the Shropshire Union Canal Company from taking their water.
