Description

Birmingham Canal No 20 Lock is a lock built in 1772, with alterations made around 1785 and restored in the 1980s. It was designed by engineers James Brindley, R. Whitworth, and S. Simcock. The structure is made of brick and features stone coping. The lock includes a single lower gate and an upper gate, along with an overflow channel to the south. It is part of a flight of 21 locks on the Birmingham Canal at the Wolverhampton level.
