Description

Birmingham Canal No 16 Lock is a lock built around 1770 by engineers James Brindley, R. Whitworth, and S. Simcock. It is constructed of brick with some stone coping and features double lower gates and a single upper gate. This lock is part of a flight of 21 locks on the Birmingham Canal at the Wolverhampton level.
