Description
Aldersley Bridge is a roving bridge built in the 1770s by engineers James Brindley, S. Simcock, and T. Dadford. The bridge is constructed of brick with stone coping. It features a brick elliptical arch with a round-arched passage on the east side. The stone-coped parapet on the south side sweeps forward and down, while the parapet on the north side sweeps to the west only. The bridge is approximately 5 meters wide and spans the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal, located just north of its junction with the Birmingham Canal.
