Description

Dunstall Water Bridge, No 63, is a combined aqueduct and footbridge that spans the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. It was constructed in the 1770s by engineers Brindley, Simcock, and Dadford. The bridge is made of brick with stone dressings, featuring a segmental brick arch and stone-coped parapets, although some repairs have been made to the coping. The middle parapet separates the aqueduct to the north. The soffit of the aqueduct is fitted with iron plates, and the footway measures approximately 3.5 meters wide and 20 meters long. An oval iron plaque on the north side displays the number 63.
