Description
Gothic Cottage is a house dating from around 1840, though it may contain some earlier elements. It is built of painted brick and features a tile roof with fishscale tile bands and brick stacks, showcasing a Tudor Revival style. The building is single storey with an attic and has a two-storey cross wing. Notable decorative features include barge boards and windows with chamfered reveals and label moulds. The ground floor windows consist of three lights with a transom, while the first floor has two-light windows. A gabled dormer on the left has weatherboarding and decorative barge boards above a casement window. The entrance features a four-centred head and a half-glazed door. The left side of the building has an asymmetrical gable with barge boards and a projecting end stack with octagonal fluted shafts, with similar stacks present on the wing and rear. The interior has not been inspected.
