Description
This building, located at 49 Market Street in Wymondham, is a house dating from around 1840, although it likely has an earlier interior that may be timber-framed. The structure is made of brick and features a machine tile roof. It has two storeys and a dormer attic, arranged in four irregular bays. The central entrance consists of a panelled door topped with a fanlight, and it has deep panelled reveals, fluted bowed pilasters, and a dentiled hood. On either side of the entrance, there are projecting six-light windows with transoms and glazed returns. The first floor includes three two-light cross casements and one projecting cross casement. The roof is gabled and has two gabled dormers. Internally, there is a gable-end stack to the east with strip decoration. At the rear, there is a two-storey gabled cross wing constructed of rendered timber-framing, which features a ridge stack.
