Description

The Mill House is a building that likely dates back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The oldest section is constructed of rubble stone with brick dressings, and this part is rendered at the front, while the rest of the building is made of brick. It features old plain tile roofs. The house has a two-storey and attic three-bay front, and a three-storey rear section with a small wing behind.

The front of the house has a central six-panel door, with four-light transomed casements and shutters on each side. On the first floor, there is a central two-light casement located under the eaves, with large four-light casements on either side. All windows, except for the central one, are set under segmental arches. Above the flanking bays, there are tall half-hipped dormers featuring two-light casements and 17th-century carved bargeboards with headstops. The roof is half-hipped to the left-hand side, and there is a large moulded chimney stack at the center.
