Description
This is a dairy that has been converted into a pill-box, located at the rear of Mill House. The building dates from the early 19th century and was altered around 1940. It is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled roof that has a veranda all around, supported by rustic timber posts. The structure has an octagonal plan, consisting of a small eight-sided brick building topped with an octagonal cone roof that slopes down to the veranda on all sides. The posts are made from tree trunks and include braces and some trellis work. There are small triangular vent dormers on two of the roof faces and a finial at the top. The original doorway remains, but there are concrete firing slits on the other faces.
