Description
Secrets of the Forest is a shop with accommodation located on Beaulieu High Street. It dates from the late 17th century and has been altered in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of brick and features an old plain tile roof. It has two storeys and an attic, with three bays.
The central part of the building has a wide 20th-century hip-roofed porch that is half-glazed and has double glazed doors. To the right, there is a 12-pane sash window with a segmental head. To the left, there is a 20th-century shop window consisting of three panes over six panes, set beneath a moulded cornice. On either side of the porch, there is a raised band at the first floor level. The first floor has three 18th-century two-light casements made of wrought iron and leaded glass. The eaves are boxed, and the roof is steeply pitched with a stack located at the right end.
