Description
B and S Fruit and Vegetable Shop is a shop with accommodation above, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It is built from colourwashed, rendered brick with painted stucco dressings and features a pantile roof with moulded wooden eaves and a single gable stack. The building has three storeys and a three-bay front.
To the right, there is an early 19th-century canted shop window that has been modified in the 20th century, accompanied by a doorway with flanking pilasters and a three-quarter glazed door. To the left, there is another canted shop window with flanking pilasters, three lights, and a moulded entablature. A mid-19th-century rectangular shop window to the left has also been modified in the 20th century and includes a glazed door.
Above these shop windows, there are two glazing bar sashes flanking a single blind panel, with two smaller glazing bar sashes above, also flanking a small blind panel. All windows feature stucco wedge lintels, raised keystones, and voussoirs. Additionally, there is a late 18th-century urn-shaped waterhead to the left.
