Description
No. 9 (H.A. Stanley) is a shop with accommodation above, dating from the early 19th century, with mid-19th century and 20th century alterations. The building is constructed from colourwashed rendered brick and features a pantile roof with a rendered brick coped gable to the east, decorated eaves, and a single gable stack. It is two storeys high with an attic and has a three-bay front. The shop front, which is of no particular interest, is a 20th-century addition and includes a central glazed door with an overlight. Above this, there is a first-floor band and three glazing bar sash windows with painted brick segmental heads. The building also has a single 20th-century flat-headed dormer with four light casements.
