Description

10 and 12 Bull Ring are shops with flats above, dating from the mid-18th century to the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of colourwashed and rendered brick and features a hipped slate roof with a single gable stack on the south side. The east side has three storeys and six bays, with first and second floor bands and quoins.

To the left, there is a doorway with a blocked overlight and a partially glazed door. To the right, a flush two-light shop window is topped with an entablature and a bracketed cornice. There is a late 18th-century shop front to the right, featuring a doorway to the left with pilasters, an overlight, and a partially glazed door. Next to this is a shallow bowed shop window with three lights and a continuous bracketed entablature with scalloped bands. Beyond that is a three-light 19th-century flush shop window with a reeded architrave, entablature, and cornice, followed by a two-light flush shop window with similar detailing.

On the upper floors, there are three plain sash windows and four smaller plain sash windows above them, all with segmental heads. The north side has four bays, featuring a central blocked doorway with a pilastered architrave. This doorway is flanked by an early 19th-century canted shop window with three lights, pilasters, and a bracketed entablature. Above, there is a second floor band and two plain sashes flanking blind panels, all with segmental heads. Additionally, there are two small glazing bar sashes above with segmental heads, and a doorway on the northeast corner with a reeded architrave and a partially glazed door.
