Description

4 Church Street is a shop with accommodation above, dating from the late 18th century. It was converted to commercial use in the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick and features a pantiled roof.

The exterior has three storeys and a three-window range. The ground floor includes a plate-glass display window that was altered in the 1980s, flanked by two segmental-headed windows and a glazed door, all separated by fluted Ionic stuccoed pilasters. The first floor has three 6/6 unhorned sash windows in flush frames with exposed boxes, topped with segmental gauged skewback arches. The second floor has three similar windows. The west return features one 2/4 horned sash window on the ground floor and one 3/6 horned sash window on the first floor.

The interior was converted in the late 20th century.
