Description

No 2 Market Place is likely an early 18th century building that has been altered. It has two storeys and an attic, topped with a slate roof featuring two segmental-headed sash dormers. The building has a wooden eaves cornice and is constructed of red brick, with gauged flat arches over two first-floor windows that now only have central glazing bars. To the right, there is a wing with a window above a vehicle way, which is a sash window with a segmental head and glazing bars. The ground floor has a modern shop front with a central entrance. No 2 forms a group with No 1 Church Street.
