Description
Clarence House is an 18th-century building located on Quebec Street, constructed of red brick and featuring a slated roof. It stands three storeys high and has five near flush frame sash windows on the first and second floors, some of which retain their original glazing bars. The façade is accentuated by rusticated pilasters, while the ground floor is finished in stucco. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped with a fanlight. To the left, there is a wooden shop front that includes pilasters and a dentil entablature. Clarence House is part of a group with Nos 1 to 15 (odd) and Nos 23 to 27 (odd), as well as the Former Corn Exchange, Market Place, and Red Lion Hotel on Red Lion Street.
