Description

This is an early 19th century building on the west side of Quebec Street. It is three storeys high and constructed of red brick, with two windows on the front elevation. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars and cambered heads. A wooden shop front features pilasters and a central entrance. The roof is slate and hipped. A hanging sign is made of wood, in the form of a palette. This building forms a group with numbers 1 to 15 (odd), number 23, and numbers 29 and 31, as well as the Former Corn Exchange in Market Place and the Red Lion Hotel in Red Lion Street.
